This artwork by George Leslie Hunter achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October last year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Still life with Melon sold for GBP 26,760.00 (€ 31,175.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Leslie Hunter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Tulips And Oranges in April 2009 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 484,118.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Leslie Hunter erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Still life with Melon für GBP 26.760,00 (€ 31.175,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Leslie Hunter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Tulips And Oranges im April 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 484.118,60).
