In October last year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Cottages in Fife by George Leslie Hunter. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,882.89), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Leslie Hunter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Tulips And Oranges in April 2009 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 484,118.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cottages in Fife von George Leslie Hunter zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 11.882,89) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Leslie Hunter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Tulips And Oranges im April 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 484.118,60).
