Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Classical Landscape by George Lambert was sold in the Old Master & Early British Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in April 2011. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,154.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Lambert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A View Of Fonthill, Wiltshire, With Haymakers In The Foreground in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 71,950.00 (€ 119,523.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Classical Landscape von George Lambert wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Old Master & Early British Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.154,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Lambert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A View Of Fonthill, Wiltshire, With Haymakers In The Foreground im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.950,00 (€ 119.523,27).
