Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brian Reeves by George Dureau was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in July 2019. The price achieved of USD 637.50 (€ 572.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by George Dureau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Group of Six Portraits, 1970s–1980s in April last year with an auction result of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,783.15).

Die Arbeit Brian Reeves von George Dureau kam im Juli 2019 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 637,50 (€ 572,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Dureau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Group of Six Portraits, 1970s–1980s im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.783,15).
