A top price for George Dureau - as previously expected
The work A Group of Six Portraits, 1970s–1980s by George Dureau was auctioned at Christies in New York in April last year. The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,783.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Group of Six Portraits, 1970s–1980s is the most expensive artwork by George Dureau that we have observed at auctions so far.
