Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Napoleon the Great, in his Coronation Robes by George Cruikshank for USD 358.50 (€ 264.81). This price was achieved in the auction NAPOLEONICA FROM THE COLLECTION OF DR. & MRS. PHILIP CORSO at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Cruikshank achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study for 'The Highland Whisky-Still' in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 7,409.00 (€ 10,816.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Napoleon the Great, in his Coronation Robes von George Cruikshank für USD 358,50 (€ 264,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion NAPOLEONICA FROM THE COLLECTION OF DR. & MRS.
