Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Newark Home by George Copeland Ault was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 2,768.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Copeland Ault achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Plough and the Moon in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 609,107.82).

Die Arbeit A Newark Home von George Copeland Ault kam im März 2008 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 2.768,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
