In December 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work The Biddle Children Fishing On The Schuylkill by George Cochran Lambdin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,416.63), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Cochran Lambdin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cyclamen, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 50,400.00 (€ 39,725.70).

Im Dezember 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Biddle Children Fishing On The Schuylkill von George Cochran Lambdin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.416,63) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von George Cochran Lambdin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cyclamen beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 50.400,00 (€ 39.725,70) versteigert wurde.
