The auction ended at the price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,200.75), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Cochran Lambdin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cyclamen in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 39,725.70).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Roses In A Chinese Vase von George Cochran Lambdin wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.200,75) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Cochran Lambdin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cyclamen im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 39.725,70).
