It achieved a price of USD 8,820.00 (€ 8,123.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Admittedly, works by George Cochran Lambdin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cyclamen in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 39,725.70).

Die Arbeit Study of Roses von George Cochran Lambdin kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.820,00 (€ 8.123,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Cochran Lambdin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cyclamen im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 39.725,70).
