Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2015 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Gold-Fishes by George Cochran Lambdin. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,198.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Cochran Lambdin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cyclamen, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 50,400.00 (€ 39,725.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gold-Fishes von George Cochran Lambdin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.198,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von George Cochran Lambdin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cyclamen beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 50.400,00 (€ 39.725,70) versteigert wurde.
