Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work "Roses" And "Pink And Yellow Roses": A Pair Of Paintings by George Cochran Lambdin for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,597.62). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by George Cochran Lambdin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cyclamen in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 39,725.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit "Roses" And "Pink And Yellow Roses": A Pair Of Paintings von George Cochran Lambdin für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.597,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Cochran Lambdin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cyclamen im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 39.725,70).
