Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of roses by George Cochran Lambdin was sold in the At Home - British and Continental Pictures & Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in April 2003. The price achieved of GBP 2,820.00 (€ 3,674.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Cochran Lambdin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cyclamen in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 39,725.70).
