Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pelargoniums on a mossy bank by George Clare was auctioned at Christies in London in August 2003. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 564.00 (€ 809.76). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Clare achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Strawberries, apples, plums, and grapes in a wicker basket, on a mossy bank in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,120.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pelargoniums on a mossy bank von George Clare kam im August 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 564,00 (€ 809,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Clare erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Strawberries, apples, plums, and grapes in a wicker basket, on a mossy bank im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.462,50 (€ 10.120,36).
