In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Rooftops, Sèvres by George Campbell. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,424.69), 32% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Campbell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Evening In Connemara, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 50,400.00 (€ 74,167.01).

Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rooftops, Sèvres von George Campbell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.424,69) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von George Campbell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Evening In Connemara beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 50.400,00 (€ 74.167,01) versteigert wurde.
