Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Quiet Sunday by George Campbell was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,767.50 (€ 11,654.11). Admittedly, works by George Campbell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evening In Connemara in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 74,167.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Quiet Sunday von George Campbell kam im Mai 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.767,50 (€ 11.654,11) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Campbell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Evening In Connemara im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 74.167,01).
