Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four Plates, from Ost-West Transit (4 works) by Georg Karl Pfahler was sold in the Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash auction at Bonhams in New York in August this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,304.00 (€ 2,125.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georg Karl Pfahler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Ost-Ost Transit Nr. 2“. in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 50,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Four Plates, from Ost-West Transit (4 works) von Georg Karl Pfahler wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.304,00 (€ 2.125,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georg Karl Pfahler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Ost-Ost Transit Nr. 2“. im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.000,00.
