Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tying A Shoe by Geoffrey Humphries was sold in the 20th Century British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,273.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by Geoffrey Humphries have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2008 the work Nude with crimson stockings was auctioned for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,212.81).
