In February 2008 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Nude with crimson stockings by Geoffrey Humphries. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,212.81), 36% above the upper estimate. With this result, Nude with crimson stockings is even the most expensive work of art by Geoffrey Humphries that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nude with crimson stockings von Geoffrey Humphries zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.212,81) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
