The work Two Slabs With Five Bars by Geoffrey Clarke was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in December 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,257.88), 66% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Geoffrey Clarke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,862.46).

Die Arbeit Two Slabs With Five Bars von Geoffrey Clarke wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.257,88) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Geoffrey Clarke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.862,46) versteigert wurde.
