Sir Denys Lasdun (1914-2001) was an eminent English architect, celebrated for his commitment to Modernist ideals and his contribution to the British urban landscape. Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Two Forms by Geoffrey Clarke was sold in the Modern/British Art Online auction at Christies in London in November 2017. The auction ended at the price of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,837.87), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Geoffrey Clarke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,862.46).
