The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,453.42), 27% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gavriil Nikitich Gorelov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Over Moscow, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 36,500.00 (€ 51,109.44).

Die Arbeit Kirov Inspecting The Building of The Dreproges Dam von Gavriil Nikitich Gorelov wurde im April 2006 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.400,00 (€ 16.453,42) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gavriil Nikitich Gorelov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View Over Moscow beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 36.500,00 (€ 51.109,44) versteigert wurde.
