Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nudes In The Sun by Gavriil Nikitich Gorelov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2015. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 21,149.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gavriil Nikitich Gorelov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Over Moscow, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 36,500.00 (€ 51,109.44).
