Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On The Swings by Gavriil Nikitich Gorelov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,002.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gavriil Nikitich Gorelov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Over Moscow in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,500.00 (€ 51,109.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit On The Swings von Gavriil Nikitich Gorelov wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.002,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gavriil Nikitich Gorelov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View Over Moscow im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.500,00 (€ 51.109,44).
