Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work La lecture du koran by Gaston Leroux. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,397.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gaston Leroux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French fumeur Et Musicienne in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,402.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La lecture du koran von Gaston Leroux zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.397,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaston Leroux auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French fumeur Et Musicienne im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.402,33).
