Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Porteuse D'Eau by Gaston Leroux was sold in the Orientalist Paintings auction at Artcurial in November 2016. The price achieved of EUR 1,170.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaston Leroux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French fumeur Et Musicienne in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,402.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Porteuse D'Eau von Gaston Leroux wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Orientalist Paintings bei Artcurial versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.170,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaston Leroux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French fumeur Et Musicienne im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.402,33).
