Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work French A Busy Street by Gaston Leroux. The price achieved of USD 28,000.00 (€ 17,985.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Gaston Leroux have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2010 the work French fumeur Et Musicienne was auctioned for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,402.33).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 28.000,00 (€ 17.985,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Gaston Leroux konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2010 die Arbeit French fumeur Et Musicienne für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.402,33) versteigert.
