Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Le soir au Havre by Gaston Sébire. The price achieved of USD 2,031.50 (€ 1,884.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Gaston Sébire have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le matin au Canet in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,884.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le soir au Havre von Gaston Sébire zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.031,50 (€ 1.884,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaston Sébire auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le matin au Canet im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.400,00 (€ 10.884,35).
