This artwork by Gaston Sébire achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2015. In the Interiors auction, the work Vue sur la plage sold for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,349.11) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaston Sébire - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le matin au Canet, which sold at auction in February 2007 for USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,884.35).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gaston Sébire erzielte im Februar 2015 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Interiors wurde die Arbeit Vue sur la plage für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.349,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gaston Sébire mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le matin au Canet beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für USD 14.400,00 (€ 10.884,35) versteigert wurde.
