Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gaston Sébire could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work La Maison Rouge dans la Neige changed hands for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,073.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaston Sébire achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le matin au Canet in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,884.35).
