Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Paysage by Gaston Balande for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,546.19). This price was achieved in the auction IMPRESSIONIST, MODERN & POST WAR ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaston Balande - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Lac D'Annecy, which sold at auction in February 2008 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,461.45).

Im April 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Paysage von Gaston Balande für GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.546,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion IMPRESSIONIST, MODERN & POST WAR ART bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gaston Balande mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Lac D'Annecy beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.461,45) versteigert wurde.
