Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,438.61). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaston Balande - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Lac D'Annecy, which sold at auction in February 2008 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,461.45).
