Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Barn Icon by Gary Ernest Smith was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,260.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gary Ernest Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cabbage Field Harvest , which sold at auction in October 2018 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,855.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Barn Icon von Gary Ernest Smith wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.260,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gary Ernest Smith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cabbage Field Harvest beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.855,28) versteigert wurde.
