The work Garden Textures by Gary Ernest Smith was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,470.15), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gary Ernest Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cabbage Field Harvest , which sold at auction in October 2018 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,855.28).

Die Arbeit Garden Textures von Gary Ernest Smith wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.470,15) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gary Ernest Smith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cabbage Field Harvest beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.855,28) versteigert wurde.
