In May 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Gold State Warriors by Gajin Fujita. The »bidding war« ended at USD 104,500.00 (€ 84,485.41), 49% above the upper estimate. With this result, Gold State Warriors is even the most expensive work of art by Gajin Fujita that we have observed at auctions so far.
