Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Gabriel Kuri was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,466.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gabriel Kuri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Adult Diaper, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 36,572.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gabriel Kuri kam im Oktober 2011 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.466,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Gabriel Kuri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Adult Diaper beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 36.572,22) versteigert wurde.
