In October 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art, which included the work Promenade Des Anglais, Nice by Gabriel Deschamps. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,506.61), 16% above the upper estimate. Other works by Gabriel Deschamps have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,897.65) in February 2009 for the work Panorame D'Eze.
