This artwork by Fumio Yamazaki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. In the Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) auction, the work Horn 2 sold for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 20,852.79) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fumio Yamazaki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Silent Neighbour, which sold at auction in May 2015 for HKD 362,500.00 (€ 42,534.56).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Fumio Yamazaki erzielte im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Horn 2 für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 20.852,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fumio Yamazaki mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Silent Neighbour beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für HKD 362.500,00 (€ 42.534,56) versteigert wurde.
