The work Silent Neighbour by Fumio Yamazaki was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 400,000.00 (€ 39,667.39), 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by Fumio Yamazaki have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 362,500.00 (€ 42,534.56) in May 2015 for the work Silent Neighbour.
