Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Dortmund Steel Mills at Night, c. 1933 by Fritz Henle was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,440.00 (€ 1,088.44). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fritz Henle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nude On Basalt Rocks, Virgin Gorda, 1955, which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,862.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Dortmund Steel Mills at Night, c. 1933 von Fritz Henle im Februar 2007 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.440,00 (€ 1.088,44) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Fritz Henle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nude On Basalt Rocks, Virgin Gorda, 1955 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.862,00) versteigert wurde.
