Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work On the beach by Frits Klein was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,346.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frits Klein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maternité: the artist's wife Marie Raymond and their son Yves Klein, which sold at auction in June 2017 for EUR 12,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit On the beach von Frits Klein kam im Februar 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.346,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Frits Klein mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maternité: the artist's wife Marie Raymond and their son Yves Klein beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
