Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Girl at the beach by Frits Klein. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,160.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Frits Klein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maternité: the artist's wife Marie Raymond and their son Yves Klein in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl at the beach von Frits Klein zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.160,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frits Klein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maternité: the artist's wife Marie Raymond and their son Yves Klein im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.500,00.
