Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bathers In A Park by Frits Klein was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 576.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frits Klein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maternité: the artist's wife Marie Raymond and their son Yves Klein in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bathers In A Park von Frits Klein im Juni 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 576,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frits Klein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maternité: the artist's wife Marie Raymond and their son Yves Klein im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.500,00.
