The price achieved of GBP 998.75 (€ 1,589.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Friedrich Ludwig Vieth von Goldenau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young lady, facing left in lace-bordered blue velvet dress, triple strand pearl necklace, flowers in her upswept dark curling fair in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 5,640.00 (€ 9,125.37).
