Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Fredrik Værslev was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 21,420.00 (€ 19,960.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fredrik Værslev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Canopy) in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 254,864.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Fredrik Værslev wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 21.420,00 (€ 19.960,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fredrik Værslev erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Canopy) im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 317.000,00 (€ 254.864,13).
