Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Christies in London held the auction Ancient to Modern Art from the Mougins Museum of Classical Art, Part I, which included the work The Battle of Issus, or possibly Ipsus by Frederik van Valckenborch. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 30,240.00 (€ 34,835.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Frederik van Valckenborch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Mountainous Village Landscape With Waterfalls, Mills, A Castle On A Hill, Various Animals, And Figures In The Foreground in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 143,313.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Ancient to Modern Art from the Mougins Museum of Classical Art, Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Battle of Issus, or possibly Ipsus von Frederik van Valckenborch zur Versteigerung kam.
