Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Belshazzar'S Feast by Frederik van Valckenborch was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2011. The price achieved of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 84,065.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Other works by Frederik van Valckenborch have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2018 the work A Mountainous Village Landscape With Waterfalls, Mills, A Castle On A Hill, Various Animals, And Figures In The Foreground was auctioned for USD 175,000.00 (€ 143,313.41).
