Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work 'The Lower Pool, London' by Frank William Scarbrough. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,485.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank William Scarbrough achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pool of London; And London Bridge (Both Illustrated) in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,640.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'The Lower Pool, London' von Frank William Scarbrough zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.485,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank William Scarbrough erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pool of London; And London Bridge (Both Illustrated) im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.400,00 (€ 16.640,29).
