This artwork by Frank William Scarbrough achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in April last year. In the The Marine Sale auction, the work Sunrise, Gorleston, Norfolk sold for GBP 2,550.00 (€ 3,040.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Frank William Scarbrough have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Pool of London; And London Bridge (Both Illustrated) in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,640.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank William Scarbrough erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Marine Sale wurde die Arbeit Sunrise, Gorleston, Norfolk für GBP 2.550,00 (€ 3.040,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank William Scarbrough auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Pool of London; And London Bridge (Both Illustrated) im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.400,00 (€ 16.640,29).
