The work 'London Bridge' by Frank William Scarbrough was sold in the The Marine Sale auction at Bonhams in London in October last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,079.51), 49% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Frank William Scarbrough have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Pool of London; And London Bridge (Both Illustrated) in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,640.29).

Die Arbeit 'London Bridge' von Frank William Scarbrough wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Marine Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.079,51) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank William Scarbrough auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Pool of London; And London Bridge (Both Illustrated) im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.400,00 (€ 16.640,29).
